Hot springs and Solar Eclipse for a unique experience

When coming to Japan for a visit, don't miss one of its numerous and highly popular onsens or hot springs resorts.

There are many types of hot springs on this big beautiful island, distinguished by the minerals dissolved in the water. Different minerals provide different health benefits, and all hot springs are supposed to have a relaxing effect on your body and mind, most of the time they are naturally heated by the volcanic activity in the earth.
A visit to one of the famous onsens in Japan can provide many different results, for instance, if your cold, a hot spring will warm that body right up, quick and proper.  A visit to an onsen is relaxing beyond belief, Japan might consider a new law of driving under the influence of an onsen.

Hot spring baths come in many varieties, indoors and outdoors, gender separated and mixed, developed and undeveloped. Many hot spring baths belong to a ryokan, while others are public bath houses.

An overnight stay at a hot spring ryokan is a highly recommended experience to any visitor of Japan.

Try to be there on the 22nd of July 2009 and enjoy the possibility to observe a total solar eclipse in Japan. With a maximum length of more than 6 minutes, this will be the longest eclipse of the 21th century.
