The rich one week program will allow you to stay at the luxurious and very original Odyssee Resort in Zarzis, located on the most beautiful beach of the south of Tunisia. The hotel is built like a kasbah or a traditional village with typical Berbere architecture and offers an extraordinary thalasso centre and Oriental Spa, to be discovered while enjoying its exquisite wellness treatments. The hotel proposes a delicious gastronomy with fresh fish and copious buffets and will let you taste the savourous Tunisian specialities, a truely culinarian journey ! Our program includes a full week at the hotel in a double room with half board. Details : Arrival on Saturday at Djerba airport (flights from Geneva, Zurich, Lyon, Paris or any other destination on request). Welcome at the airport and private transfer to Zarzis at the Odyssee Resort. Installation and start to relax and enjoy your holidays. The first and second days are dedicated to relaxation in a bucolic setting by the sea. The third day, departure from Zarzis to the great Tunisian South, through the Roman way which was the communication spine of Northern Africa at the times of the Roman empire. Continuation to Tataouine with a stop on the way on the red sand dunes, attesting the extent of the desertification phenomenon. Visit of Tataouine's town, the avant-garde of the desert and a prehistoric site which served as penal colony at the time of the French colonization. Discover the picturesque mountain villages of Douiret and Chenini sculpted in the rocks. They used to serve as refuge for the indigenous Berbere population. In the evening, enjoy Berbere folkloric traditions, full of colors and sounds. Accomodation in a nomade camp which will allow you to admire the starred night's sky stunning beauty. All necessary comfort will be assured for a soft and cosy night. Early wake up to enjoy the sunrise on the dunes. Continuation to the oasis of Douz and visit its picturesque market. Visit the fortified site of Ksar Hadada which served as a movie set for the filming of "Star Wars". Continuation to the site of Matmata, world famous for its unique cave housing. On the way back home, discover the Matmata mounts which culminate at 700m of altitude and offer a magnificent view on lunar landscapes. By the end of the day, return to the Odyssee Resort. Rest in the evening and enjoy a theme show. The next 2 days will be dedicated to wellbeing with a thalasso cure comprising 4 treatments per day and will allow you to feel sheer relaxation and discover new wellness sensations. Thalassotherapy, hydrotherapy and massages are in the program. The Oriental Spa with its wellness delights such as hammam and traditional scrub will contribute to your well balance.
