Reflexology
Reflexology is not a medical practice nor strictly speaking a massage. Reflexology is a practice which aims at the well-being, stimulates the body and acts against the responsible stress of many disorders in the body. The reflexology is a method which harmonizes all the vital forces of the body.
The reflexology is an ancestral art. Who did not ever touch feet at the end of tiring day to relax, evacuate the accumulated fatigue?
It is there doubtless the point of departure of the long history of the reflexology through time and the continents: Egypt, China, Native Americans, the United States, the hurdy-gurdy Europe today. Every period and every country brought their prize of discoveries and its faiths to enrich this empirical knowledge.
Reflexology is a technique wich mode of functioning is still not known in an exact way. Hypotheses were put which the most known were the one of the bow reflex (with reference to the name of the method). By pressing on a point given at the foot, the practitioner in reflexology sends an order to the brain (bow reflex or "involuntary answer" in sensory stimuli) which activates an action on the target organ. It is an action of regulation, harmonization of the energy that circulates in the body.
It is to note that we list 70 000 nerve endings at the level of feet. What makes feet the ideal zone for the practice of the reflexology. The foot is a somatotopy, that is a representation of the whole body in a smaller part. It is necessary to note that the reflexology can be practised on the other zones, but in a often less effective way: ears (aural acupuncture is particularly effective for dependence in the tobacco, the alcohol and diverse phobias), facial (Dien' Cham ', acts very fast, but the effect is not very long-lasting in time), etc.. .
The practice of reflexology allows to put back the body, and the feeling about the body in the center of health. During a reflexology session the feeling of the patient is very considered. The patient feels under the fingers of the practitioner and through the explanations supplied that the body is not an abstract machine. The reflexology acts on the nervous system, on the digestion, the blood and lymphatic circulation, on the regulation of the endocrine system, etc.
This method can improve what does not work enough but it cannot disorder what works correctly, because it acts only as a regulator.
The action of the reflexology seems more complex than we thought. What thing we can be shure about is that the reflexology produces a better irrigation and a faster regeneration of organs, that it activates the vital energies, allowing an easier healing.
Besides the aspect of recovering health, the reflexology brings a deep relaxation and a feeling of well-being which propagates in all the body. |
